Pools at both Pan Pacific Park and Griffith Park will remain open for an additional month, Los Angeles City Councilmember David Ryu and the Dept. of Recreation and Parks announced today.

Ryu and department agreed to fund and operate extended pool hours, on weekends from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. through October 1. The pool season was previously scheduled to close after Labor Day weekend on September 6.

Pool hours will also be extended on Fridays at Pan Pacific Park from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“Angelenos know that our summer weather does not end on Labor Day. My office has partnered with the Department of Recreation and Parks to extend the summer pool season so families throughout Los Angeles can continue to cool down at Pan Pacific Park and Griffith Park” said Ryu. “I encourage families to take advantage of these great community pools through October 1.” .

General admission is $3.50 for adults ages 18 to 64, $1 for children under 17 and seniors 65 and older.
